I'm a big fan of good quality pepper flakes (they are surprisingly hard to find) for pizza and pasta, as opposed to sauce (though I add sauces like Last Dab, Fiery Fool, Fear This!, etc., to food daily).
This is the first time I've gotten dried pepper pods instead of flakes. Maybe it is the fact that the pods are being crushed and then immediately used, but these suckers are hotter than I anticipated. The 1,500,000 SHU rating definitely feels accurate!
I've got a decent heat tolerance but have gone overboard a couple times in the last week or two with these pods and had to reach for the milk (even Gaviscon one time due to the peppers bringing the pain to my poor stomach), a sure sign of defeat. Very, very good but be careful with the portion size.
