Crafted in Chengdu, the heart of China’s Sichuan province, Sichuan Gold brings all the addicting umami notes of chili crisp to this hot sauce-meets-chili oil. Pungent aromatics like garlic and green onion actually take a backseat to the verdant floral flavor of the Sichuan peppercorn, which is enhanced by the nutty rapeseed oil. One of my all-time favorite sauces. Perfect on ANY Asian dish.

I originally got this sauce as a gift from the Hot Ones 10-pack challenge box, and it was the first bottle from that box that I used up, and the only sauce that I bought more of. This is such an interesting sauce, from the flavour, to the consistency, since it's an oil based sauce. If you can find it in stock anywhere, I suggest you pick up a bottle.
