Jamaican Yellow Scotch Bonnet Pepper Mash (9oz) - Hot Pepper mash / puree is made from freshly harvested Yellow Scotch Bonnet Chilies. Our traditional, all natural fermentation process transforms this aromatic pepper mash. Add sparingly to soups, stews, chili beans, stir fries, pastas, marinades etc. or use as an ingredient base for hot sauce and more. You can add garlic, onion, vinegar, carrots and more to make your very own custom sauce.

Heat: Chilies that range from 200,000 to 500,000 SHU

Puree of the gods

The flavor off this is unbelievable. Scotch Bonnet of any sort is my go to pepper for a hot sauce, but this puree might as well be scotch bonnet flavored crack. I am salivating just thinking about it as I write this.

This may be because the puree is meant to be mixed, but I found there is a bit too much acid in it. The burn from it is not just peppers, but there is a tongue burn that I feel is coming from the acid in it. It doesn't stop me from spreading it on bread it is so good, but just a warning.

Heat is up there for sure, but the flavor this brings is unmatched at the same heat level to another pepper in my opinion. So far I have tried it on chicken/beef and it was great, and I even tried it on a bagel with cream cheese (in replacement of a hot jelly) and it was amazing there too.

I am honestly debating ordering $100 of just this so I can get free shipping....
